Forum funding applications 

On the 11th November 2018 there will events around the country to mark centenary of the end of World War 1 – ‘Battles Over’. Beacons will be lit at 7pm in an act of unity. Purfleet-on-Thames and  EastTilbury are the only two areas of Thurrock who will be lighting their beacons and will be commemorating this event. For this to happen in Purfleet a grant application was made through Thurrock Council’s CEDF, to restore the beacon on the green and to fund the event. This has been partially successful. Funding to restore the beacon has been confirmed

An application for funding for the Christmas Lights has been withdrawn. This is due to the ongoing costs, which would be a burden to the forum in the future. Perhaps with greater community support and some good fund-raising events in the future this application can be resurrected.
